Fractured teeth 11 and 12 after trauma. The fragments were stabilised into their original position, then a quick impression was taken.
After root canal treatment, fiber post restoration, abutment preparation and isolation, the impression was filled with LuxaCrown and placed in position. The result is highly aesthetic, strong and long lasting.
The patient asked for diastemas closure, so a wax-up was needed and the impression taken with LuxaTemp.
A moke-up was built to analyse aesthetic and function of the project.
Thanks to the moke-up it was easy to be really conservative during the preparation.
We needed more than three weeks to deliver final veneers instead of one as usual, because the patient required more time to attend to the cementation appointment.
This is quite a long time for such a thin and extended temporary restoration.
So we decided to use a strong material (LuxaCrown) in order to minimize the risk of fracture.
Teflon tape can be a great help to use LuxaCrown in cases like this one, making very easy to remove all the exceeding material.
The temporary restoration stayed in place without the use of adhesive, maintaining aesthetic, function and keeping safe the prepared teeth and painless.
After 3 weeks, the temporary restoration was removed and final ceramic veneers were cemented.
The abutments of this bridge had to be extracted.
Two implants were placed in the same surgery.
Using a silicon key made on a wax-up, LuxaCrown is injected to create a 3-elements bridge.
The bridge is relined with flowable composite, finished and polished. A very quick, low-cost and highly performing, long-lasting temporary bridge is easily obtained.
