The purpose of this article is to underline the advantages of indirect posterior restorations and to remind the usage of CAD/CAM Connect System requires a minimum investment. Large, direct composite restorations take a long time, because of many reasons; posterior teeth are difficult to reach and we have to use different devices such as matrices, wedges, rings… this with an incremental technique, in order to minimize polymerization shrinkage; sometimes it is difficult to make proper occlusal adjustements, and to get well polished contact points. The procedure is tiring, both for the patient and dentist. We can complete the same procedure easily with a CAD/CAM system on the same day by using ceramic or hybrid blocks.
Composite restorations are done on patients with good oral hygiene. These restorations require routine followups. In these conditions they can last many years.
In some cases, some patients' incisors have a lingual position. Thus, due to their positions it's difficult to clean them.
